Digital Adelaide is a one-day digital marketing and social media event that is an evolution of the successful Social Media Day Adelaide. Digital Adelaide aims to bring new ideas to the Digital Marketing community within South Australia, and to upskill both new and established members of the community.
Social Media Day was launched by Mashable on 30 June 2010. It is a day where we “recognise and celebrate social media’s impact on global communication”.
In Adelaide, we’ve been celebrating Social Media Day since 2015 and over the years, the event has developed to a full day social media conference. We’ve taken the opportunity to share social media knowledge on this day, with the aim of making it accessible to everyone – no matter what stage of your career you’re at.
Social Media Day was originally organised by Jennifer Evison; a Digital Marketing Consultant, Rubina Carlson; a Digital Marketer for SeaLink Travel Group, and Ryan Jones; the Managing Director at Refuel Creative.
This year we have chosen to shift the focus towards Digital Marketing instead of just Social Media, with the goal of upskilling marketing professionals all across South Australia. Especially those that are new to the community, Digital Adelaide will provide a chance for these new professionals to network with, and learn from, established and successful members of the digital marketing community.
