Everything is easier when you have traction. It’s easier to get funding, attract staff, secure advertising and meet organisational goals if you have a large number of users or customers.
Traction is also a sign your company or project is taking off. It provides quantifiable proof that there is demand for your product, service or program whether it’s measured in downloads, sales or subscriptions.
If you are responsible for getting your organisation’s ‘name out there’, you will know how hard it can be to get momentum going when you’re starting from nothing. With a limited budget where do you focus and how do you identify which channel will work for you?
During this one-day workshop, we will put some structure around ‘getting your name out there’ and provide a practical strategy to build traction for your project.
We will provide a framework for assessing a number of channels, including:
- Blogs and influencer marketing
- Search engine marketing and search engine optimisation
- Social and display ads
- Offline ads
- Content marketing
- Email marketing
- Widgets, tools and resources as marketing
- Referrals and word-of-mouth marketing
- Business development
- Platform marketing (e.g Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, App store)
- Trade shows and expos
- Speaking engagements
- Building communities
